Composite Filings

Dental fillings are much different than they used to be. In the past, dentists used to have to remove more tooth material to make room for the filling, which often expanded and contracted with the temperature of the food or drink consumed.

Today, we use fillings which we match as closely as possible to the natural color of your teeth. These fillings are made of durable material, which molds easily to the tooth. Since they don’t expand and contract as old metal fillings did, they are less likely to cause sensitivity.

The good news is that fillings are typically taken care of in a single appointment.
